Working with 15 nurseries across County Durham and Darlington, Durham Music Service is delivering an exciting project based in Nurseries. In each setting there are 2 members of staff being trained (30 in total) to deliver music within their nursery settings.

The project funded by Youth Music and Education Durham (Early Years Foundation Stage) is focusing on staff training to ensure that Early Years Practitioners  have the skills and confidence to deliver quality music education in their settings. The project will start in nurseries in September and run throughout the year.
 
Term 1
Durham Music Service Staff deliver sessions with Early Year Practitioners facilitating the sessions
 
Term 2
EYP delivering sessions and DMS facilitating
 
Term 3
Bespoke training sessions depending on the need of the EYPs and the nursery setting
 
Throughout the year, staff will join together for training sessions and networking.
